Marco Enrique Salas Laure is a theologian and digital project manager with expertise in digital communication, web development, multimedia production and theological education. He currently works with the Jesuit School of Theology of Santa Clara University in the United States and the Center for Formation of the Latin American Episcopal Council (CEBITEPAL) in Colombia, and has contributed to digital initiatives for the Secretariat General of the Synod of Bishops and Boston College.
Drawing on Leo XIV's encyclical Magnifica Humanitas, theologian Marco Enrique Salas Laure argues that AI extends a decades-old project to eliminate "friction" from human life — and that only a Christian anthropology of relationship and care can answer it.
